4/4 – 4/8 Spring Break
4/13 – Milestones Testing Begins (full schedule will be sent out at a later date)
What We Are Learning
Reading and Writing:
Milestones review has begun and students are rotating through a variety of ELA stations every day for the next two weeks. Our stations include: close reading and comprehension of paired text, answering constructed response questions, grammar review, and an extended opinion writing prompt about whether or not zoos are beneficial for animals. Students may be asked to finish any incomplete station work at home, although they will be given ample time in class to complete each station.
Milestones Prep:
Ms. Redding recently spoke with the 5th grade students about test-taking strategies. In addition, students will also be practicing how to navigate the online testing site and will be given a chance to explore and test out the various features, such as highlighting, annotating, etc. If you are interested in practicing at home, please check out the site http://gaexperienceonline.com/. Study Island.com is also a great site for students to practice specific skills.
